Web Scraper NodeJS app - SKU Shark
This app is an internal productivity tool used by the marketing department to aid in gathering product data for promotional emails.
The purpose of this project was to automate the repetitve task of visiting product pages, copying data like name, price, image path, etc. and pasting it into a spreadsheet. The app was built using NodeJS and Express, and is hosted on Heroku.
The user workflow starts with adding up to 12 SKUs (the max number of products we use in marketing emails), getting product data, copying it with one click, and then pasting it into the spreadsheet that drives the content for email campaigns. This was put into use immediately and resulted in a good deal of time savings for our small marketing team.
